Appointments
Your first appointment is for a thorough examination, necessary radiographs, photos and diagnostic models if required. Please, bring your insurance and health history information as well as a list of medications if applicable. Arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out appropriate forms unless completed in advance. During this appointment we will take radiographs utilizing state of the art digital radiography which uses up to 90% less radiation than traditional methods. Then we will perform a thorough examination of teeth, gums, jaw muscles and joints. In addition, we will complete an oral cancer screening.
Children's cleanings often can be acomplished during the first visit. Adults are usually scheduled a second appointment for a cleaning. This is done since the health of gums in adults vary greatly because up to 80% of adults have periodontal disease. Thus, the type of cleaning needed will vary depending on the degree of periodontal health of each person.
Appointments are reserved for you so that we may concentrate on your care without distractions. We ask you make every effort to attend your appointed time. In the event that a circumstance arises that will keep you from your appointment , we ask for 48 hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee. This allows us to see other patients who are in need of care.
